FUKUZAWA Bespokeオリジナルパターンをもとに、一度の仮縫いを通して完成へ導く仕立て。軽やかさの中に、フルオーダーに近い完成度を目指します。

納期は約3ヶ月程度。

A form of tailoring created from an individual pattern for each client.Through two fittings, precision, balance, and presence are refined to the highest level.The process typically takes approximately four to five months.

メイドトゥメジャー

型紙から新たに作り上げ、二度の仮縫いを重ねながら完成へ導く仕立て。身体に沿う精度と、佇まいの美しさを追求します。

納期は約４ヶ月〜５ヶ月程度。

MTM based on the original patterns of FUKUZAWA Bespoke.Through fitting and careful refinement, it achieves a level of finish that approaches full bespoke, while remaining made to measure.The process typically takes around three months.

見えにくい部分ほど手を抜かず、着る人にとって自然で心地よいものになるように整えていく。

良いスーツを作るために、今できることを丁寧に積み重ねていくこと。その姿勢を大切にしながら学び続けていきたいと思っています。

There are many decisions and checks behind every suit.

Especially in the parts that are not easily seen, I believe it is important not to cut corners, but to shape them so the garment feels natural and comfortable for the wearer.

To me, tailoring is the accumulation of that work.

I want to keep building, carefully and steadily, what I can do now.With that attitude, I hope to continue learning and improving.

FUKUZAWA Bespoke Tailor 初めての仕事として、特別なプロジェクトに携わらせていただきました。

昭和の大横綱・千代の富士さんが生前着用していたスーツを起点に、その身体と佇まいを見つめ直し、私が白の一着を仕立てました。

そしてそのスーツに、@overcoat.nyc さんが得意とする穴を開け、紐を編み込み、服を超えた“作品”へと再構築しています。

現在開催中のイベントでは、千代の富士さん本人が着用していたスーツと、福沢が縫った白いスーツが並んでいます。海を越えニューヨークでも展示されます。

服を仕立てること。
過去を写すこと。
そして、それを今の表現へと変えていくこと。

今回の仕事は、そのすべてを考えさせられる経験でした。

For my first commission, I had the privilege of taking part in a very special project.

Starting from a suit once worn by the great Yokozuna Chiyonofuji, I revisited his physique and presence, and created a white suit.

OVERCOAT then transformed it beyond clothing—cutting into it and weaving cords through it, turning it into a work of art.

At this limited-time event, Chiyonofuji’s original suit is displayed alongside the white suit I made.

To tailor a garment.
To reflect the past.
And to transform it into an expression for the present.

This project made me think deeply about all of these things.
